Term 1 - Week 2

Now we're rockin'!

So last week it took us a bit of a while to get set up and logged in, but that's OK!

We have a few more coders joining us this week, so we should all be pretty much at the same stage.

Getting started...

We now all have an account on the Scratch website. If you're still having problems, let us know! Otherwise, click below to access the site:

Let's get coding!

To kick off Code Club, we're going to start with a Scratch project. Click on the link below, which will take you to the first Scratch project instructions. If you've already done this project before, but want to have another go and customise it some more, then feel free :)

  • star Rock Band Code your own musical instruments!

Skills:

  • Sprites - choose sprites and position them in your code;
  • Events - learn how to make your code react when the user does something;
  • Sounds and music - code your project to make sounds;
  • Create multiple costumes for sprites;
  • Change costumes under certain conditions;
  • Create code using sequential code blocks.

Challenges:

  • "Improving your drum" - Changing sprite sounds and adding events;
